Here are four 1951-D mint mark wheat back pennies I took out of my change jar. They are not in the best of condition and I don't think any of them are winning a beauty contest for coins. They were all found from searching through bank rolls I received from one of my local credit unions.
It's pretty much expected that these are the types of coins you will find when you start coin hunting as a hobby. Those that are metal detecting may have better luck when it comes to silver but us stay at home types are looking for that one in a thousand score where we find a really rare old coin or an occasional mint wheat penny.
