1942 No Mint Mark Lincoln Memorial Cents

Here are some 1942 no mint mark pennies I pulled from the big jar of old coins I have. No two coins are alike as you can see from the example of these four. At the top left you have one really black penny and at the top right you have a dark brown one. The other two at the bottom have their own peculiar shades of brown

With old Lincoln Memorial cents you have every shade of the rainbow, if that rainbow ranged from light brown to pitch black with the occasional red penny thrown in. The funny thing is there are serious collectors out there that want one color example of each penny. I don't think it brings up the value that much but it might be worth it to hold on to those odd colored pennies you have stashed away in that pickle jar.
