More 1940 No Mint Mark Wheat Back Pennies

 

Here is another set of four 1940 no mint mark wheat back. I pulled these from my old American coin collection. These are all your standard circulated condition pennies. All are light brown to dark brown in color. The one on the bottom right hand corner is really scratched up. You can tell by the marks on the reverse side that it looks like someone tried to cut it.

You get a lot of damaged pennies like these when you start collecting coins. Finding free wheat pennies by hunting through bank rolls is easy. Finding the really good condition coins is the hard part.
