Here are some of my 1942-D wheat back pennies. These old coins were pulled out of the large collection I've been going through. As I pull from these old copper pennies it's interesting to see how many dates are very common and how many are super rare. The D mint mark and no mint mark pennies are pretty ubiquitous while the S mint mark pennies are very scarce.
That's the interesting thing about this blog. The way I have titled my categories you get to see the pennies I have from top to bottom by rarity. The older dates are on top and the newer dates are on the bottom. If you do anything else at least come back and visit this blog in two or three years and I'm willing to bet you will see a lot of very old 1909-1958 wheat pennies.
